UTICA — The New York State Department of Transportation Utica Regional Office is advising  motorists that  part of Auditorium Drive will be restricted to northbound traffic  between State Route 5S and Whitesboro Street.

The traffic restriction, which began Tuesday, is permanent as Auditorium Drive will now be a one-way street.

Southbound motorists should follow the posted detour to reach State Route 5S.

The DOT is also urging motorists to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones. Fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
