Assemblywoman touts Health Care Bonus Program
UTICA — Assemblywoman Marianne Buttenschon, D-119, Marcy, has hailed Health Care Bonus Program funding, which is now being received by local first responders. The $1.2 billion program was aimed at rewarding and retaining front-line health care and mental hygiene workers across New York State.
“I am happy to report that the funding for this Health Care Bonus Program is getting to those who have been working to protect us in the field during the pandemic.” said Buttenschon. “This program, passed as part of the New York State budget, will provide up to $3,000 in bonuses to those individuals who served in the front lines during the pandemic and who have shown their dedication to duty to serve Central New Yorkers and those that visit the area.”
Buttenschon added she will work to “continue to expand these bonuses to all that served in a health care or support role during the pandemic.”
