UTICA — A Utica man accused of attacking a corrections officer at the Oneida County Jail was among the recent indictments at Oneida County Court.

Raheem J. Thompson, 29, of Utica, was indicted Nov. 21 on one count of second-degree assault. He is scheduled to appear in court.

An indictment is a formal charge made against a person by a grand jury. It does not establish guilt or remove the presumption of innocence.

The indictment said Thompson attacked a corrections officer with a spork while inside the county jail in Whitestown on Oct. 3. The officer was treated at a local hospital.

Other indictments:

• Isaiah Little, 20, and Sutton Pryor, 20, both of Utica, were indicted on Nov. 21 on one count each of first-degree robbery.

The indictment said on Oct. 4, Little and Pryor used a handgun to rob a man in Utica, stealing a necklace, cell phone and car keys.

• Zachary J. Makley, 21, of Rome, was indicted on Nov. 21 on one count each of second-degree possession of a weapon, criminal possession of a firearm and seventh-degree possession of a controlled substance.

The indictment said Makley was found with a loaded 9mm pistol and a quantity of cocaine in Rome on June 24.

• Joshua Shannon, 44, of Oriskany, was indicted Nov. 22 on one count each of criminal possession of a firearm and fourth-degree possession of a weapon.

The indictment said Shannon was found with an unregistered, .380-caliber handgun in Whitestown on Oct. 7.

• Lisarae Jackson, 19, was indicted on Nov. 22 on one count each of third-degree assault, fourth-degree mischief and endangering the welfare of a child.

The indictment said Jackson attacked another woman in Utica on June 6. The indictment said Jackson also broke a window, and a young child was present.
