The Rome Art and Community Center is looking forward to a busy 2019.

Enrollment has begun for youth programs: Artletics Summer Camp and The Owl & The Silver Moon pre-school for 2019-2020 school year.

Artletics runs from July 1 to Aug. 22, Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. “After Camp” until 5 p.m. will be available again this year.

The center plans an enhanced program with two weeks of advanced art this summer. Artletics helps children develop their artistic skills; athletics, which will teach campers how to be team players while getting healthy and fit; and drama, which will help campers build self-esteem and social skills.

This program is for children ages 5 to 12. Cost is $1,600 or $200 per week for non-members, and $1,400 or $175 per week for members. Multiple-child discounts are available. Tuition assistance is available for Rome residents who qualify.

The Owl and The Silver Moon is a Montessori style pre-school. In September, it entered its second year of operation. This program runs concurrent with the Rome City School District year and accepts children ages 3 to 5. Currently, the session runs from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m., however, an afternoon session will begin as the enrollment dictates.  Call the center for cost and more information on enrollment.
