Army National Guard announces promotions

LATHAM — Maj. Gen. Ray Shields, the adjutant general for New York, has announced the promotion of members of the New York Army National Guard in recognition of their capability for additional responsibility and leadership. They include:

Robert Annarino, of Rome, to staff sergeant, 105th Military Police Company;

Rudolph Closs, of Camden, to sergeant first class, Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 427th Forward Support Battalion; and

Duhamel M. Mercado, of Utica, to private first class, Headquarters and Headquarters Co., 2nd Battalion, 108th Infantry.
