Armed robbery under investigation in Frankfort, officials say
FRANKFORT — An armed robbery on Acme Road in Frankfort in Herkimer County is under investigation, according to law enforcement officials.
Authorities said the robbery occurred at a business along Acme Road before 8 a.m. Monday.
Authorities said the suspect fled the store into a nearby wooded area, and multiple law enforcement officers from several agencies spread out along Route 5S in search of the suspect.
The suspect was taken into custody Monday morning, according to reports.
Details on the robbery have not yet been released.
The Frankfort Police Department is investigating, with assistance from other area agencies.
