Armed robbery among indictments
A Utica man is scheduled to appear in Oneida County Court for an armed robbery in the city, according to an indictment from a county grand jury.

An indictment is a formal charge made against a person by a grand jury. It does not establish guilt or remove the presumption of innocence.
Authorities said at 12:30 a.m. July 23, Brown approached a vehicle in the 1500 block of Neilson St. and opened fire, shooting a man in the high who was sitting in the vehicle. The indictment said Brown also stole cash from the victim. Brown was located and taken into custody several weeks later.
