Area would support Utica baseball

Posted

Roll out the red carpet and do things the same way it was done in 1977 when we got the NY Penn Utica Blue Sox (eventually changed to Utica Blue Jays). At that time for many years we had the best attendance in the league for many years.

We can sell out the auditorium for the Comets & Pioneers. I am sure we can do the same back at Donovan Stadium (at Murnane Field). We will need to feature high quality local concessions. If we do that I am sure we will keep the team here for the unforeseeable future.

I am certain we can bring in at least 3,000 on an average game…. Like we used to every game back in 1970s and 1980s….. Emphasize how the area supports pro & college hockey …. It will be like good ole days when hockey concludes, you tell everyone “See you at Murnane.”
