Area woman wins annual baking contest

FLOYD — The Floyd Grange held its annual baking contest at its meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 13.

Entries were judged by Al and Jenille Seelman, which were gluten-free no-bake cookies.

Janice Grunenwald was awarded first place and her entry will represent Oneida County at the New York State Grange contest to take place on Saturday, Oct, 22, at the New York State Grange session in Auburn.

Eileen Breed will serve as a delegate from Oneida County at the State Grange session.

Plans are also under way for the Election Day Bake Sale at the Floyd Town Hall, 8299 Old Floyd Road, on Tuesday, Nov. 8.
