Architect named MVCC Alumni of Merit winner

Christopher J. Crolius, a principal and founder of March Associates Architects and Planners, PC, of Utica, has been named the 2019 Mohawk Valley Community College Alumni of Merit Award winner, the college has announced.

Crolius plays an active role in all aspects of March Associates’ operations, utilizing his background in construction and taking a hands-on approach to solving design and construction issues, said MVCC.

March Associates is involved in planning, design, and construction of educational, corporate, and industrial facilities. 

The firm has worked on many projects at MVCC’s campuses, including the Learning Commons and Alumni College Center renovations, said the college.

Crolius earned his associate degree in Civil Technology from MVCC in 1978, his bachelor’s degree in Construction Management from Utica College in 1980, and his master’s degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1985, the MVCC announcement added.

A registered architect in New York state, he is a member of the American Institute of Architects; the Construction Specifications Institute; the Sealant, Waterproofing, and Restoration Institute; and the Mohawk Valley Builders Exchange.
