The City of Rome’s Business Assistance Fund, one of the Downtown Revitalization Initiative (DRI) priority projects, will be opening the second round of applications on June 1, according to a release.
The Business Assistance Fund - developed to improve downtown businesses and buildings - will provide investments and economic development to projects aligning with a larger vision within the target area.
“We are pleased to open Round 2 DRI Business Development Fund applications. Even during this pandemic, it is extremely important that we continue our efforts to stimulate downtown revitalization with stimulus programs like the Business Development Fund. Round 1 projects were very successful and we are hopeful Round 2 will continue our forward progress,” said Mayor Jacqueline M. Izzo, in a statement.
Interested parties who wish to apply will find additional information, including frequently asked questions and program guidelines, online at: https://romenewyork.com/development-opportunities/ beginning Friday, May 22.
