The application deadline to sign up for the 59th annual Rome City Men’s Amateur Golf Championship tournament is Sunday, Aug. 7.

Applications are available at Rome Country Club, McConnellsville Country Club, City of Rome Parks and Recreation Department or can be downloaded from the Rome Country Club or Rome Parks and Recreation websites. The field is limited to the first 144 registrants.

The cost is $75. All applications must be turned in to tournament co-chair Jim Korpela by 9 p.m. on Aug. 7.

The tournament is Aug. 13 and 14 at Rome Country Club and McConnellsville Country Club. It is a 36-hole medal play event with no cut.

There will be eight flights: championship, A, B, C, D, senior A, senior B and super senior.

The entry fee includes greens fees, range balls, prizes and a championship dinner at the McConnellsville course. Carts are not included.

This year’s tournament major sponsors are Nye Auto Group, Woodmen Life, M.A. Polce IT  & Cybersecurity, Rome Recreation Department and Davidson Auto Group.
