Another car wash may be coming to Seneca Turnpike

NEW HARTFORD — A third car wash may be coming to the former Zebb’s restaurant on Seneca Turnpike.

The Tidal Wave Auto Spa has received preliminary approval from the town of New Hartford Planning Board for its proposal to create a location at 8428 Seneca Turnpike.

At an Aug. 10 meeting, the New Hartford Town Board approved $42,718.27 in mitigation fees for the Tidal Wave Auto Spa. 

If Tidal Wave receives final approval, there will be three car washes less than a mile from each other on Seneca Turnpike. Roger’s Laser Wash is located at 8477 Seneca Turnpike, and Hoffman Car Wash opened a location at 8541 Seneca Turnpike in March.

Zebb’s closed in 2019. The property was listed with a $1.2 million price tag, but the listing is no longer available on the brokerage website. 

The next Planning Board meeting will be from 5 to 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 12.
