UTICA — The annual Joe Corr Memorial Mass to honor fallen New Hartford Police Officer Joseph Corr will be held on Monday, Feb. 27 at Mother of Our Savior Church, Our Lady of Lourdes campus, in Utica.

Patrolman Corr was shot and killed in the line of duty on Feb. 27, 2006, while pursuing a jewelry store robber. Corr was 30-years-old at the time, and was a 6-year veteran of the police department.

He was survived by his wife, daughter, parents and two sisters.

The annual memorial mass will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 27 at the Utica church. The event is open to the public.

Corr’s father, David Corr, died in May 2022.
