ROME — AmeriCU Credit Union in Rome received a Best Companies to Work For in New York State Award from the Best Companies Group, according to AmeriCU officials.

Best Companies Group was founded in 2004 and is an independent research firm that ranks companies based on established research methodology. They have been identifying and recognizing great employers with this annual award since 2007. This year’s awards were handed out at a ceremony in Albany on April 19.

AmeriCU received a Best Companies to Work For in New York State for their seventh time, officials said.

“Our teammates are the heart of the credit union, so as an organization, we strive to connect, involve, and support them,” said Karen LaPlante, chief talent officer for AmeriCU. “To be recognized for this award is a true honor and testament to the hard work and dedication of our team, who play a critical role in accomplishing our vision, mission, and strategy, and for that we want to thank them for their amazing efforts.” 

AmeriCU was previously recognized for its excellence in 2022, 2021, 2020, 2018, 2016, and 2014.
