VILLAGE OF CLINTON — The Central Oneida County Volunteer Ambulance Corps was recently awarded $1,000 for training and classroom supplies.
The Community Foundation of Herkimer and Oneida Counties’ Hero Fund America Fund recently awarded $10,000 to 11 fire departments and EMS agencies across the country to increase awareness, advocacy and support for first-responders. Hero Fund America was founded in the wake of the Boston Marathon bombings in 2013, and the Hero Fund America Fund was founded in 2016 through a partnership with Hero Fund America.
COCVAC Ambulance in Clinton was awarded $1,000 to purchase new supplies for its training center and classes, officials said. The other 10 recipients are located throughout the country.
