All Creatures accepts donations for Rome students
All Creatures Boarding and Grooming, 6572 Williams Road, is collecting donations of toiletry items, cleaning supplies and non-perishable items for Rome school district students during the COVID-19 situation.
Donations can be dropped off at the facility anytime when open, according to an announcement. For more information, call 315-533-6139.
All Creatures staffers made deliveries of donated food to Gansevoort Elementary School for distribution to Rome school district children on two days last week, said All Creatures owner Kerry Casler.
The local Connected Community Schools (CCS) organization is operating a food pantry to serve the community on Tuesdays and Thursdays from noon-2 p.m. at Gansevoort, 758 W. Liberty St.
CCS is accepting donations of non-perishable food products and hygiene products at the Rome Alliance for Education office, 509 N. James St., plus it is accepting monetary donations through checks or the Venmo mobile payment service.
All Creatures remains open during the COVID-19 situation for boarding of animals including for employees of essential businesses and services, Casler said. Its animal grooming and daycare functions are closed until further notice.
