AIS CEO in running for ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ award

Assured Information Security Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder Charles Green is a semifinalist for the Entrepreneur Of the Year New York Award given by the accounting firm Ernst & Young, AIS announced.

Green is one of 46 semifinalists in the regional category. On Thursday, semifinalists will attend a judges reception in New York City for in-person interviews with the judging panel of past winners and finance and community leaders. Finalists will be announced at the end of May and an awards gala will be held in June where regional finalists are celebrated and the winners are announced.

Green co-founded Rome-based AIS 2001. In the past six years, AIS has more than doubled its workforce to 315 employees, quadrupled its revenue, acquired three companies and has expanded to its nine locations. In June, AIS was named by Cybersecurity Ventures as one of the world’s hottest and most innovative cybersecurity companies to watch in 2018, having secured spot 101 on the prestigious Cybersecurity 500 list.

“AIS is a company built on ideas and imagination,” said Green. “Our leadership team has a willingness to listen, a willingness to invite employees to participate and a willingness to let employees take risks and explore options, and I truly think that is what has made AIS what it is today.”

Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur Of The Year includes programs in more than 145 cities and more than 60 countries worldwide. The awards gala is the culminating event of the Strategic Growth Forum.
