Agnes K. Sutphin (September 21, 1924 - August 4, 2019) passed from this life to the next in her sleep. She was born in New York City to Czechoslovakian immigrant, grew up in rural New Jersey, and lived an exciting life traveling the United States and Europe with her career military husband William H. Sutphin (d). Agnes claimed to be an “armchair traveler” and amassed a well-organized collection of over 10,000 post cards from just about everywhere. A longtime resident of Whitesboro, New York, she lived her later years at Pounder Hall in Oriskany, New York, enjoying a quiet lifestyle, frequent outings, a little dog named Princess, and the company of a few friends.
She is survived by her son Ronald of Rome, New York, and granddaughter DeAnna also of Rome.
In lieu of flowers please send a donation in her name to one of her favorite places, the Auriesville Shrine https://www.ourladyofmartyrsshrine.org. A private service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are with the Dimbleby Funeral Homes Inc., Whitesboro.
