Adirondack puts up 16 runs in capturing fourth baseball win

BOONVILLE — The Adirondack Trail Blazers rode a five-run first inning to a 16-6 Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League victory over the Watertown Rapids on Wednesday night.

David Mercano, John Polichetti and Matt Rubayo each drove in four runs for the Trail Blazers. Isiah Daubon had two RBIs for 4-11 Adirondack.

Mercano, Polichetti, Rubayo and Daubon each homered in the win.

Lucas Stalman and Anthony Boselli doubled for Adirondack.

On the mound, Mike Sansone picked up the win, throwing six innings, giving up five runs on nine hits and he struck out seven.

Adirondack is back in action tonight when it hosts the Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs at 7:05.
