Adirondack girls wrap up undefeated regular season


The Adirondack girls varsity basketball team wrapped up an undefeated regular season on Tuesday night with a 60-42 home victory over Center State Conference Division I foe Sherburne-Earlville.

The 16-0 Wildcats are expected to get a high seed when the Section III playoff seeds are announced today.

Cam Roberts scored a game-high 23 points to led Adirondack and Arielle Kranbuhl chipped in with 15 points.

Belle Kranbuhl finished with nine points for the Wildcats in the win.

RFA girls post victory

The Rome Free Academy girls basketball team ended the regular season with a 61-56 road victory over Proctor High of Utica.

Kelsey McCaskill led the 9-11 Black Knights by scoring a team-high 21 points and Anna Loso chipped in with 15 points. Amanda Wilbert scored eight points and had 23 rebounds for RFA.

Westmoreland sweeps to win

In a boys volleyball match, Westmoreland earned a 3-0 home victory over Mount Markham.

Set scores were 25-16, 25-16 and 25-22.

Mike Sweeney had 23 assists, three kills and four aces for the Bulldogs and Joe Schreck had four assists, two kills, seven digs and three aces in the win.
