LITTLE FALLS — The Adirondack Trail Blazers used a three-run fifth inning to pull ahead 3-2 over the defending Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League champion Mohawk Valley and added an insurance run in the top of the ninth inning to record a 4-3 victory on Friday night.
Jon Iadevaia turned in a 4-for-5 day at the plate including a double. Iadevaia knocked in three runs for the Trail Blazers. Todd Henry went 2-for-5 with a double and RBI and two runs scored for Adirondack in the win.
Jack Wallace earned the win on the mound, tossing five innings, giving up two runs on four hits while walking one and striking out four. Connor Stapleton picked up the six out save for Adirondack, tossing two innings, giving up a run on two hits while striking out four.
Adirondack is 5-13 and returns to the field tonight as they travel to Newark to take on the Pilots at 7:05.
