A 40-year-old Rome man is accused of having inappropriate contact with an underage girl in the city.
Adam Beyette, of Rome, had inappropriate contact with a 15-year-old girl in Rome in August, and then again in October, according to Sgt. Melissa Bolton of the county Child Advocacy Center. Beyette was taken into custody on Tuesday.
Beyette is charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and one count of forcible touching, both misdemeanors, authorities said.
He was arraigned in City Court and was released on his own recognizance. He is scheduled to reappear in court.
The victim has been offered counseling through the CAC.
