REMSEN — For the second year in a row, a pre-Father’s Day Food & Fun Event will take place from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 14, at Adirondack Mountain Sports, 9514 State Route 12 North, to benefit Making Strides Against Breast Cancer.

There will be food trucks, a giant pink inflatable Making Strides chair for photo opportunities, Duke’s Leather Works will be selling wallets, belts and other items, and neighboring business NAPA Light’s Auto Parts will have a large tent sale.

The team Penguin Platoon is sponsoring the event and members will be on-site selling raffle tickets for prizes including tickets to the Baseball Hall of Fame, a gas card, lottery tickets, a variety of gift certificates, and more. The raffle drawing will take place at 6:30 p.m.

Food trucks will offer a wide variety of selections from gourmet hot dogs to Mediterranean, and pizza.

Visit Brake from the Grind, Grapevine, Mangia Macrina, Tubesteaks, and Big Papi’s Iceys.

It’s also Flag Day so wear your red, white and blue.

Money raised supports the free patient services offered by the American Cancer Society including a 24/7 help and support line (800-227-2345).
