‘A People’s History of Utica’ Sept. 26

UTICA —Brendan Dunn, an adjunct history professor at MVCC, will give a lecture entitled “A People’s History of Utica” on Wednesday, Sept. 26 at 7:30 p.m. at the Other Side, 2011 Genesee St.

The lecture will feature Utica’s history as a hotbed of radical labor politics and revolutionary activity. Dunn says he hopes to share these “visions of a different Utica and a better world” with today’s Uticans. Dunn is a Utica native, and in addition to teaching at MVCC, is a member of the Industrial Workers of the World labor union as well as the Black Rose Anarchist Federation.

The event is free. For more information, call 315-735-4825.
