‘A Dose of Drama’ to take center stage in Camden

CAMDEN — The Camden High School Theatre Department will present A Dose of Drama, a series of student written and directed mini-plays, skits and monologues, at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 4 and at 7 p.m. Friday, April 5.

Tickets are $7. The production showcases the diverse theatrical talents of Camden High School students in theatre classes and drama club.

The night begins with “SorHORRORity” a comedic play written by Emily Henderson, Emily Pitoniak, and Cael Sullivan, and directed by Emily Pitoniak. It stars Renae Henry, Lillyanna Whipple, Emily Pitoniak, Sharlotte Jones, and Emily Henderson.

That will be followed by “Barrier,” a monologue written and directed by Emily Pitoniak and performed by Harrison Klun.

Next up will be the romantic drama “Change of Heart.” The play was written by Shayla Oatman and Vivian Roser and directed by Zachery DeLoach and Vivian Roser. It stars Emily Henderson, Zachery DeLoach, Zackary Weed, Lillyanna Whipple, Cael Sullivan, Shayla Oatman, and Vivian Roser.

And that will be followed by “Crazy Family,” a melodramatic dialogue written and directed by Zackary Weed and starring Breanna Holland and Nathan Warren.

Just before the concession filled intermission will be the play, “The End of the End.” The nature drama was written by Cheyanne Pelton and Cassidy Richmond. It is directed by Kitana Brown, Cassidy Richmond, and Nathan Warren. It stars Madisynn Caringi, Ethan Smith, Kitana Brown, Vivian Roser, Nathan Warren, and Erin Allen.

Following intermission the audience will be treated to “What Happened at Elmira’s.” The mystery was written and directed by Evan Youngs. The play stars Emily Henderson, Harrison Klun, Evan Youngs, Cael Sullivan, Emily Dimitriadis, Renae Henry, Hannah Mooney, Riley Olson, and Ethan MacMurray. 

The night’s performances will conclude with “Ink Slinger.” The tragedy was written and directed by Cael Sullivan. The play stars Zackery DeLoach, Emily Pitoniak, with Cael Sullivan and Lillyanna Whipple as understudies. 

Behind the scenes are directors Carla Dombrowski and Stephanie Heath, set designer Anthony Dombrowski, business manager Stephen Stelmashuck, student director Emily Dimitriadis, and assistants Mia Barden, Breanna Holland, and Tatyum Klering. Backstage managers are Hannah Mooney and Riley Olsen, sound technicians are Amber Watkins and Britney Kirkland, and lighting technician is Gabriel Keever. 

The production crew consists of Emily Adsit, Karli Archer, Amaiyah Asay, Emma Baker, Ariella Holbert, Carmen Joslyn, Anthony Mosher, Shayla Oatman, Maryssa Parker, Adin Potter, Ayla Roardk, Janissa Sauer, Zackery Steele, Miah Vierow, and Kailee Waterman.
