9 active COVID cases in Madison County


WAMPSVILLE — As of Sept. 18, Madison County has 9 active cases of COVID-19.

Active cases in the townships are as follows: five in Hamilton, one in Madison, one in Cazenovia, one in Lenox, and one in Oneida. Active cases represent individuals who have tested positive and are currently either in home isolation, being monitored by the Madison County Health Department, or under the care of a hospital.

As of Sept. 18, a total of 500 people have tested positive for COVID. Of those 500, 474 have recovered. A total of 17 people have died in Madison County due to COVID.
