50 Forward receives grant to support Verona Beach center
UTICA — 50 Forward Mohawk Valley received $7,500 in funding from Excellus BlueCross BlueShield to support 50 Forward’s Verona Beach Center. The funding and long term partnership helps further the health and wellness programs that are helping transform the aging experience for older adults in the western part of Oneida County. The programs are helping to enhance the lives of participants by impacting their quality of life so they can remain independent, healthy and active members of the community.
Kelly Walters, executive director of 50 Forward Mohawk Valley stated, “Excellus BlueCross BlueShield has been a long time partner and we are pleased to receive their continued support, which helps us grow our health and wellness programs that are transforming lives in the community.”
Excellus BlueCross BlueShield provides year-round opportunities for sponsorship funding for initiatives that align with the health plan’s mission to help people lead healthier and more secure lives through access to high-quality, affordable health care.
“We are proud to continue our partnership with 50 Forward Mohawk Valley to support vital health and wellness programs for seniors,” Excellus BCBS Regional President Eve Van de Wal said. “This work aligns with our mission as a Health Plan to improve the health and well-being of those in our community.”
