34-year-old Rome man accused of attacking his girlfriend

A 34-year-old man is accused of attacking his girlfriend in front of their three children early Monday morning.

Police said Jason S. Tuttle, of 5768 Old Oneida Road, went to his girlfriend’s residence on East Bloomfield Street at 4 a.m. Monday and started banging on the door to be let in. Police said the girlfriend did not want to let him in, but did so to avoid a conflict.

Police said Tuttle then shoved the woman and punched her in the face — all in front of the couple’s three children. Authorities said Tuttle was also in violation of an order of protection.

Tuttle is charged with one count each of felony first-degree and misdemeanor second-degree contempt, as well as second-degree harassment and endangering the welfare of a child, police stated. He was arraigned in City Court and was sent to county jail in lieu of bail. He is scheduled to reappear in court.
