2019 Oscar Nominated Short Films schedule announced

Cinema Capitol (230 W. Dominick St.) will present the 2019 Oscar Nominated Short Films from Friday, Feb. 8 through Thursday, Feb. 14. 

Each year at the Academy Awards, Oscars are awarded for “Live Action Short Film,” “Best Documentary Short Subject,” and “Best Animated Short Film.”

Cinema Capitol will present all nominated short films in four programs: “Live Action,” “Animated,” “Documentary Part A,” and “Documentary Part B.” None of the programs are rated.

Run times for each program are: Live Action, 109 minutes; Animated, 90 minutes; Documentary Part A, 69 minutes; Documentary Part B, 75 minutes.

Show times for all programs are as follows:

Friday, Feb. 8: Live Action 4 p.m., Animated 7 p.m.

Saturday, Feb. 9: Documentary Part A 4 p.m., Live Action 7 p.m.

Sunday, Feb. 10: Live Action 1 p.m., Animated 4 p.m.

Monday, Feb. 11: Documentary Bart B 4 p.m., Live Action 7 p.m.

Tuesday, Feb. 12: Animated 4 p.m., Documentary Part A 7 p.m.

Wednesday, Feb. 13: Animated 4 p.m., Documentary Part B 7 p.m.

Thursday, Feb. 14: Live Action 4 p.m., Animated 7 p.m.

Winners for each category will be revealed at the 91st Academy Awards to be held on Sunday, Feb. 24.
