15 new COVID cases over the weekend in Oneida County

Oneida County reported 15 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 over the weekend, including three Saturday and 12 Sunday, but no new deaths related to the disease.

As of noon Sunday, the county had 103 known active cases, 1,901 cases that have been resolved, 103 people in mandatory isolation and 1,060 in mandatory quarantine.

Ten county residents were hospitalized: One at Rome Memorial Hospital and nine in the Mohawk Valley Health System in Utica and New Hartford, where three of the patients were residents of nursing homes receiving care.

The county gave notice of the following incidents of possible public exposure to someone known to have COVID-19 and recommended anyone at these places at the respective times monitor themselves for symptoms:

Hannaford supermarket at 4593 Commercial Drive in New Hartford, 5:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 29 and 30; self-monitor through Aug. 13.

Mazzaferro’s Meat and Deli, 7824 Ridge Mills Road, Rome, 2:15-2:30 p.m. July 31; self-monitor through Aug. 14.

Dollar General at 8220 Turin Road, Rome, 1-1:15 p.m. Aug. 1; self-monitor through Aug. 15.

Hannaford at 808 W. Chestnut St., Rome, 10-10:30 a.m. Aug. 4; self-monitor through Aug. 18.
