Central Valley Academy has four wrestlers headed to the state meet. Adirondack is sending three with two from Camden and two from Holland Patent. Vernon-Verona-Sherrill, New Hartford, Canastota and Dolgeville had one wrestler each qualify.
The state meet will take place in Albany on Feb. 24-25.
CVA is led by Sixx Cook, who won his third Section III title last weekend, this one in the 152-pound weight class in the Division 2 tournament for smaller schools. Cook’s three teammates headed to states all took second in their respective weight classes in sectionals. They are Jacob Hurd at 102, Gene Edwards at 118 and Cooper Reed at 138.

HP is sending two wrestlers who won their weight classes. Jordan Koenig earned a second trip to states with a win at 172. Trent True won at 160.
Camden’s Kolton Kelley earned his spot in states with a Section III title at 126. Teammate Sean Seymour was second to Cook at 152, so he’s headed to Albany as well.

Dolgeville’s Jared Bilinski was second at 189 at sectionals and is going to states as well.
Two local wrestlers won titles in Division 1 for larger schools in the Section III meet to advance to states.
Vernon-Verona-Sherrill’s Charlie Foster is headed back to states after back-to-back sectional titles, this time at 152 pounds.
