$11.4M addition opens at Rome Health
ROME — Rome Health has opened its new $11.4 million Medical Center on the hospital’s main campus, opening the doors Monday on the freshly completed 31,000-square foot, two-story center designed to improve patient care and convenience.
Primary care physicians Dr. Michael Attilio and Dr. Lwin Win will be the first providers to begin seeing patients in the new center.
Over the next three months, providers from Rome Medical Group (adult and pediatrics) and the bariatric and general surgeons from Rome Health Surgical specialists will move into the new space, adjacent to the hospital at 1500 N. James St.
For convenient access, patients coming to the new facility for care should use the parking lot off of Oak Street and enter the Medical Center through the Bartlett Entrance.
A guided tour of the new facility is available online at romehealth.org/Rome_Health_Primary_Care/
The new Medical Center will bring together primary care, surgical specialists, diagnostic testing and retail pharmacy under one roof for convenient, accessible, coordinated patient care, Rome Health officials aid.
The Medical Center design supports providers and their care teams in delivering patient-centered care that is efficient and convenient.
There are six care team pods with a total of 42 exam rooms, Rome Health officials said, adding the innovative pod design includes six exam rooms with adjacent space for the care team and the providers to collaborate.
The proximity of adjacent services at the hospital, including medical imaging, cardiopulmonary services and cardiology further enhances accessibility for patients who may need multiple services.
