Olearczyk to compete at famed Augusta National Golf Club

Jacob Olearczyk, a Barneveld resident who is a sophomore on the Holland Patent golf team, competes here in the first round of the 2022 New York State Men’s Amateur Championship at Onondaga Golf & Country Club in Fayetteville. Olearczyk won the Drive, Chip and Putt regional to complete the qualifying process for the national event. That will take place April 2 at Augusta National Golf Club in Georgia, prior to the start of the Masters Tournament.
It’s not the Masters, but Jacob Olearczyk of Barneveld will be one of 80 junior golfers competing at Augusta National Golf Club in Georgia in the ninth annual Drive, Chip and Putt National Finals.
