WESTERNVILLE — Organizers for Woods Fest Music Festival announced Monday that the third annual festival will not take place on Aug. 8 and 9 due to concerns over the coronavirus outbreak.
The annual music festival held at Woods Valley Ski Area on State Route 46 in Westernville was planning to expand to two days this year with limited camping available on site.
“We are very disappointed to have to cancel this year’s event as it has quickly become an annual celebration of Central New York’s music, art and culture in its two years of existence,” organizers said. “However, we feel the most prudent thing to do is to postpone this event until next year. Our plan is to continue with Woods Fest 3 on the same weekend in 2021 with a newly renovated Woods Valley chalet as the backdrop.”
Organizers added, “We cannot thank our sponsors, vendors and patrons enough for their support of this festival since its inception. We will be back bigger and better than ever in 2021.”
