Utica Dance to perform at Wellin Hall


CLINTON — Utica Dance, Inc., will present its spring concerts at Wellin Hall on the Hamilton College campus Friday, Saturday and Sunday, May 31 and June 1 and 2.

For more than 35 years, Utica Dance Art in Motion has shared a supportive and rewarding relationship with the college and Clinton Community, said Artistic Director and President Nancy Long.

Hamilton Professor G. Robert Kolb, and director of music at Stone Presbyterian Church, will be the highlight of the production of Coppelia during the ballet shows at 2 p.m. June 1 and 2.

The evening shows at 7 p.m. May 31 and June 1 feature the choreography of Kathy Ryan in a crowd pleasing program of jazz, tap and contemporary dance.

“The recent surge in interest in dance makes this a great time to witness the a thrilling live performance by our local talented pre-professional dancers,” Long said.

Students from Clinton participating in shows are: Jaybird Sullivan, Katie Sullivan, Matilda Terrell, Ewan Leising, Maeve Kloidt-Gilligan and Ava Townsend.
