Tween Book Club at Kirkland library discusses ‘Wishtree’

CLINTON — Kirkland Town Library, 55 1/2 College St., will host the Tween Book Club at 6 p.m. today — Thursday, July 25.

The book club is just for kids ages 9-12. This month, club members are reading, “Wishtree,” by Katherine Applegate. Contact the library to sign up and get a copy of the book.

July 29 and Aug. 5, 19 and 26 at 2 p.m.

Watch a recent release on the big screen. Popcorn will be served. For movie titles, check the library’s website.

Barrel of Fun Show

Monday, July 29 at 6 p.m.

The whole family is invited to watch this fun performance of “Planets Ahoy!” There will be plenty of puppets, comedy, and music for all ages.

Cupcake Wars for Teens

Wednesday, July 31 at 1 p.m.

Compete in a cupcake decorating contest. For students in grades 6-12. Contact the library to sign up.

Zumba Chair Workout

Wednesdays, July 31 and Aug. 7, 14 and 28 at 3 p.m.

Take Zumba fitness down a notch with this workout in a chair. The program is for people with low mobility and includes low impact moves with music.

The class is taught by Helen Dick.

Wednesday Book Group

July 31 at 7 p.m.

All are welcome to a conversation on “Jell-O Girls,” by Allie Rowbottom.

Baby Sensory Play

Friday, Aug. 2 at 11 a.m.

Babies ages 5-24 months and their caregivers will learn and play together with sensory toys.

Weekly Story Times

Wigglers for ages 0-2 on Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m.

Movers & Shakers for ages 2-5 on Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m.

Farmer’s Market Story Time for all ages on Thursdays at 11 a.m. on the Village Green.
