Student art show to open at Kirkland library


CLINTON — Kirkland Town Library, 55 1/2 College St., will host an art show opening at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 9.

The show will feature works by Clinton High School Advanced Placement studio art students.

The March meeting of the library’s Board of Trustees has been rescheduled to April 4.

Monday Movies

April 8, 15, 22 and 29 at 2 p.m.

Watch a recent release on the big screen. Popcorn will be served.

“Second Act” April 8. A cashier decides she needs a change of pace, completely reviving her career and her life. Rated PG-13.

Monday Book Group

April 8 at 1 p.m.

All are welcome to a conversation on “Out of the Dust,” by Karen Hesse.


Thursday, April 11 at 7 p.m.

This popular program brings Hamilton College professors to the library to discuss a book of their choice. The next session will feature Associate Dean of Faculty and Professor of Literature Onno Oerlemans leading a conversation on “Never Let Me Go,” by Kazuo Ishiguro. Copies of the book are available at the library.

Book Bingo

Friday, April 12 starting at 1 p.m.

Younger children and their families are invited to play book character bingo and other child-friendly versions at 1 p.m. Regular bingo starts at 1:30 p.m. with a bonus musical “Singo” game. Get bingo and win a book. Snacks will be served.

April Vacation Activities

Monday, April 15 through Friday, April 19

Join the library for fun during vacation. Activities will be hosted every day for children of all ages. Check the website for details.

• Wigglers for ages 0-2 on Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m.

• Walkers for ages 2-3 on Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m.
