St. James’ Church to host ‘moving up’ ceremony

CLINTON — The St. James’ Church Day School will host its annual Moving Up/Graduation ceremony at 5 p.m. Friday, May 29.

In keeping with state coronavirus guidelines, the ceremony will be “a little different” this year, according to the school’s director, Debra Lindon.

It will be held in the parking lot of the Quaker Meetinghouse at 2981 Austin Road.

Although students will be remaining in their cars in order to maintain social distancing, parents will receive their child’s diplomas from the teachers.

There will be opportunity to celebrate the ending of another successful year of pre-school as well as acknowledging those children who will be moving up to kindergarten.
