CLINTON — Christopher Carter Sanderson, Gorilla Rep New York City founding artistic and producing director, will present his new media feature — an uncut close-up of Macbeth — at a special preview at Hamilton College.

The film, which stars TV’s Leajato Robinson, will screen for classes and subscription holders as part of Hamilton’s fall semester. Macbeth is a co-production of NYC’s Gorilla Rep Theater Company, Baroness Films and Willy, Nilly & Pell-Mell, LLC. Macbeth’s unique presentation brings the intrigue, murder and poetry of Shakespeare’s Macbeth, and Sanderson’s renown uncut theatrical interpretations, organizers said.

Sanderson said the film was shot entirely in close-up on actors’ iPhones. The cast of 29 actors, who hail from central New York, New York City and London, England, rehearsed each scene together on Zoom before filming on their own.

The exclusive screening is for Hamilton College students and subscribers only on Zoom:

7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 14; Wednesday, Sept. 16; Friday, Sept. 18, and at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 20.

Run time is 110 minutes.

Each showing includes a question-and-answer session with the director at the conclusion. The event is free, but pre-registration is required. Register at www.hamilton.edu/performingarts. For more information, call 315-859-4350.
