NEW HARTFORD — The Utica and Mohawk Valley Chapter of the National Railway Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 8 at Zion Lutheran Church at the corner of French and Burrstone roads.

There will be a business portion conducted by President Harry Lenz with reports on the display at the Children’s Museum, the repair of the New York Central 6721, the Adirondack Scenic Railroad, the banquet in May, a possible day bus trip, a possible overnight Amtrak trip, plus several other events and projects in the coming weeks and months.

After the break, several members will take part in the Utica and Mohawk Valley Chapter’s annual Show and Tell. It’s where members of the chapter bring railroad items, show them off and tell about them at the same time.

The meeting is open to anyone interested in railroads and railroad history. Guests may also attend and will be invited to join the chapter. Active and retired railroad personnel are also encouraged to attend.
