‘Nook n’ Crannie’ perform at Paris Hill Barn & Cafe tonight

TOWN OF PARIS — Popular acoustic duo “Nook n’ Crannie,” a two-some comprised of vocalist Ann Carey accompanied by guitarist and vocalist Matt Mielnick, will perform at the Paris Hill Barn & Cafe, 2817 Route 12, at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 2.

“Nook n’ Crannie” have recently performed at Unity Hall in Barneveld, Good Nature Brewery in Hamilton, Woodland Hops Farm and Munson-Williams Proctor Arts Institute in Utica.

Local music scene followers will know Carey and Mielnick from their years performing with the popular nine-piece swing group, “Puttin’ on the Ritz.”

The duo performs a wide range of music featuring the sounds of Bonnie Raitt, Bruce Springsteen, Fleetwood Mac, along with familiar songs of the great American torch singers such as Peggy Lee, Ella Fitzgerald and Rosemary Clooney. They also perform classic country hits by Patsy Cline and Don Williams and folk favorites by John Prine, Shawn Colvin and Joni Mitchell.

The concert will be preceded by a pot luck meal at 6 p.m.
