CLINTON — The Hamilton College Department of Music will present two virtual events for Family Weekend via Zoom.

The weekend begins on Friday, Oct. 30, at 7 p.m. with “Musical Arts — New Forms of Creativity.” Join Michael “Doc” Woods; Margaret Bundy Scott, professor of music; Charlotte Botha, director of choral activities; and Heather Buchman, director of the college orchestra and chamber music for a showcase of the college’s music ensembles — jazz, choir, and orchestra. Following the highlights video, the directors will provide insight and discussion of how teaching during COVID-19 has led to innovative and creative ways of teaching.

Events continue on Sunday, Nov. 1, at 9 a.m. with a pre-recorded Family Weekend concert featuring performances by the Hamilton College Orchestra, Jazz Ensemble and Choir. After the video, the ensemble directors will be available for a chat room meet-and-greet.

These events are free, with no registration required. Go online to www.hamilton.edu/performingarts for links to the events. Call 315-859-4350 for more information.
