Continentals hold steady at No. 4 in poll

The undefeated Hamilton College men’s basketball team held on to the No. 4 ranking for the second straight week in the latest top 25 poll released on Monday, Dec. 10.

The Continentals (9-0 overall) peaked at No. 3 two weeks ago. That No. 3 ranking is the program’s best since the poll’s inception at the start of the 1999-2000 season.

Hamilton posted convincing victories against SUNY Polytechnic Institute (102-62) and Elmira College (98-67) last week. Kena Gilmour ‘20 and Michael Grassey ‘19 scored their 1,000th career points less than a minute apart in the win over Elmira.

The Continentals have almost three weeks off due to final exams and the holidays before returning to the court for the Land of Magic Classic at the Daytona Beach Ocean Center. Hamilton takes on Ursinus College on Friday, Dec. 28 at 7 p.m. and plays Ithaca College on Saturday, Dec. 29 at 8 p.m.
