Comets re-sign pair of defensemen

UTICA — The Utica Comets have re-signed defensemen Dylan Blujus and Stefan LeBlanc.

Blujus, 25, has spent the last two seasons with the Comets after signing a professional tryout contract in December 2017. During the 2018-19 season, he collected 8 points (one goal) in 43 games. In 88 games with the Comets he has amassed 24 points (five goals). 

The 6-3, 207-pound defenseman has totaled 73 points (16 goals) in 239 AHL games.

LeBlanc, 23, registered six assists in 26 games with the Comets last season after being acquired in a trade with the Toronto Marlies. In total, the defenseman played in 42 AHL games between Utica and Toronto, tallying 13 assists. He also appeared in 26 games with the Newfoundland Growlers, picking up 15 points (three goals).

The Oakville, Ont. native has logged 124 total games between the AHL and ECHL, collecting 38 points (five goals).
