The Clinton girls track and field team won the Section III Class B-2 championship meet on Thursday, May 23 in Canastota.
Clinton scored 160 1/2 points to easily outdistance second-place Cazenovia, which had 103 1/2.
Holland Patent finished 10th and Adirondack came in 12th.
Placing first for Clinton were the 3,200-meter relay team of Eva Borton, Taylor Harvey, Madison Luke and Paige Luke; Roxee Hughes in the 100 hurdles, Madison Luke in the 800 and 1,500 runs, Katherine Stockwell in the 400 hurdles, Eva Borton in the 3,000 and Taylor Harvey in the steeplechase.
In the boys meet, Clinton finished fourth and Holland Patent was ninth. Cazenovia easily won the team title with 151 points, with Hannibal coming in second with 72.
Placing first for Clinton was Robert Musante in the 400.
