Chabad hosts first Menorah lighting at Village Green

CLINTON — Chabad of Clinton will host the first Menorah lighting ceremony on the Village Green at 5 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6.

In light of the recent attack on the Jewish community in Pittsburgh, Pa. last month, Chabad members said they want to bring more light to Clinton.

The message of Hanukkah is one of diversity with the branches of the Menorah uniting together, and the idea that even a little light can drive away a lot of darkness.

Members of the community are invited to take part in the lighting of the 8-foot Menorah.  There will be hot latkes (potato pancakes), sufganiyot (traditional donuts) and hot cider, as well as a special take-home gift for every child who attends.
