We are in a nearly unprecedented situation in our country with great polarization of views. I am not a political activist, other than always making sure to vote in every election.
But current times call for active participation on everyone’s part! I am a firm believer in the stance “moderation in all things.” I have supported moderates of both parties in past elections, and continue to believe that communication and cooperation rather than conflict is the best way to achieve results beneficial to the majority of Americans.
I’m glad that our representative in Congress, Rep. Anthony Brindisi, makes himself accessible throughout his vast district so that opinions can be shared with him and by him. I encourage my Mohawk Valley neighbors to attend his Town Hall in New Hartford on Oct. 10.
I plan on going to thank him for being accessible, and also to support his stance on pursuing inquiry into the facts surrounding President Trump’s recent conversation with the President of Ukraine. I firmly believe that judgments should be made on facts.
Please make yourself an active participant in democracy by attending the Town Hall in New Hartford. If you are unable to attend, do your part by calling his office and let him know you support finding the facts.
