WHITESTOWN — The sheriff’s office has released the cause of death for a 20-year-old Utica man found dead in a car behind a barn on Westmoreland Road Wednesday, Jan. 8.
The preliminary autopsy results regarding the death of Quaheim Holland show that the cause of death was a gunshot wound.
The final autopsy results including toxicology reports will take several more weeks to complete, sheriff’s investigators said.
A portion of Westmoreland Road, near Gibbons Road, was closed Wednesday afternoon as Whitestown Police and sheriff’s deputies investigated the death.
A passer-by reported a motor vehicle accident, and Holland was found deceased inside his car around 12:20 p.m., the authorities added.
