Ronald L. Bouley, 76, of Rome, passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at Rome Memorial Hospital. He was born in Worcester, MA, on April 26, 1941, the son of the late Lawrence and Doris Gauthier Bouley. He was a graduate of South High School. On June 10, 1961 he was united in marriage to Marilyn Turner and together they shared a blessed union of 56 years.
Ron was a twenty-five year veteran of the US Air Force and upon retirement he worked another twenty years in Civil Service for the Government.
He was a parishioner at St. Paul’s Church and member of the 4th Degree of the Knights of Columbus Council 391 where he was a Grand Knight and served as a District Deputy for the diocese. A Vietnam Veteran he was also a member of the VFW.
Golf was his favorite retirement activity. He was a good man who loved his family, his God and his country.
Surviving besides his loving wife, Marilyn, are a daughter, Lisa Bouley and her partner, Joe Cross, of New York, NY; a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Amy Bouley and a cherished grandson, Turner of Medway, MA; sister and brother-in-law, Karen and Paul Proulx of Worcester and two nieces, Jennifer and Lindsey Proulx, a nephew Scott and wife Megan Proulx and grandniece Riley.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul’s Church. Interment will take place in Notre Dame Cemetery in Worcester, MA. Family and friends are invited to call at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome, on Friday from 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Ron’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
